9 things about 9...

In case you didn't get the hint, I went to see 9. Not 4, 3, 7, or 42...just 9. Although, 42 does have that twisted appeal since Douglas Adams got his crazy hands on it. But, I digress...

I don't often do movie reviews. Heck, I think this is the first written one I've done. I'll try not to spoil anything important so other people can enjoy this movie as well.

The story of 9 is about a group of 9 rag-doll constructs, each made with different materials. "9" himself wakes up in a world devoid of life, as we know it. He knows nothing of what has happened before, or what is going on now. There are questions on his mind like: what happened here? Who is that? What does this do? You know, the kind of questions that get people into trouble. In fact, the whole movie is a series of questions and mysteries that progressively receive answers as the story unfolds (Which is common in all kinds of movies, I know...)

Overall, it was an enjoyable movie, I think. There could have been more character development on some, as I heard one patron explain to another, but I think it may have been worth the 10 bucks I spent on it. Though, it should have been 9, like the movie is 9, and the protagonist is 9, and the release date was in the month of 9, on the day of 9, in the year of 9, in auditorium 9, with a youngest viewer of 9...for a PG-13 movie...go figure.

I'm not sure what to think of the previews for this movie. The character designs kinda freak me out.

p.s. - Hi Zeph.

I've never even heard of it... Sounds freaky.

I think animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.
:iconzephandolf:
That's probably one of the reasons why its rated PG-13. That, and the scenes in which they fight...

It's not too bad, really. No blood and gore. It's all machines and the like. And bones...and some bodies...

It's more about the designs. Kinda reminds me of... Chucky. *shiver* Then again, any small thing running around probably would (besides cutesy things like Toy Story).

Sigh. I know I'm being silly. I'd probably like the movie a lot.

I'd probably compare it more with Jurassic Park than I would with Chucky...though, I've never seen the latter.

I've never see the latter either - just ads and pictures, and they were more than enough.

CURSE YOU AND YOUR BIG WORDS THAT I HAVE TO GO FIND A DICTIONARY FOR.

On the other hand, that movie sounds odd. xD But I agree with you, it totally should have been 9 bucks.

AND HI *waves*
